John Laryea, the two-time undefeated WBO African Featherweight champion, is set to face Panama’s Ricardo Nunez in his first-ever fight in the United States on November 1, 2024. After months of speculation, the bout has been confirmed, marking Laryea’s long-awaited international debut. Known as the ‘Expensive Boxer,’ Laryea, currently ranked 70th by the World Boxing Organization (WBO), will compete at Caribe Royale Orlando in Orlando, USA.
Laryea, managed by Sammy Anim Addo and co-managed by Peter Khan under Fight Game Advisors Promotions, holds a record of 13-0-1, with 11 knockouts. His last fight was a TKO victory against Isaac Dowuona on December 30, 2023, in Accra. Ranked No. 1 in Ghana and 70th globally, Laryea’s upcoming fight will see him return to the ring after nearly a year.
